PokerStars Michigan is now authorized to provide online poker across state boundaries, making it the inaugural operator to do so within the state. This follows Michigan’s endorsement in May to join the Multi-State Internet Gaming Pact, which enables players to contend with others from other licensed states.
Michigan legalized interstate poker in January 2021, following an earlier legislation that permitted online casinos but did not share liquidity. As of January 1, 2023, players in New Jersey can now engage in gameplay with players in Michigan. Besides Michigan and New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada are also participants in the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement.
