Century Entertainment Delays Dara Sakor Casino Opening Due to COVID-19 Surge

Century Entertainment International Holdings revealed a postponement of its Dara Sakor, Cambodia casino debut, attributing the setback to the recent escalation in COVID-19 infections. The firm originally intended to transfer its gaming operations from Sihanoukville to the new establishment in February, anticipating a March opening. Nevertheless, the persistent pandemic has forced a schedule adjustment, with April now representing the soonest possible launch date.

Century Entertainment acknowledged notification from the property holder regarding supplementary preparation hold-ups stemming from lockdown protocols enacted in Cambodia. The company conveyed optimism about the new casino achieving full functionality by late April 2021, indicating that all refurbishment and equipment setup is finalized. However, essential procedures such as system trials and personnel instruction remain outstanding.
